liberals at NPR: The problem with fascism isn’t that it is the ideology of bringing the inherent violence and deprivation once kept confined to the periphery of empire back to the center of that empire as its socioeconomic mechanisms that uphold the systematic deprivation of colonized people begin to falter due to the contradictions inherent in capitalism and its systematic dispossession and exploitation of all who are not members of the bourgeoisie, but its tendency to make people yell and be mean to each other. Tribalism! Tribalism! It’s tribalism!

Then finding out that the government wants to defund PBS.
Deciding to take up another sacred mantle.
